The winners of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 officially announced Friday night (July 26) held at the NBC Tent in Taguig City.

Two beauty queens were crowned: 18-year-old Mass Communication student from Quezon City, Koreen Medina won the title of Mutya ng Asia Pacific 2013. She will be the country’s delegate to the Miss Intercontinental competition in Egypt.


Aside from the major title, Medina also won numerous special awards – Miss Talent, Miss Sheridan Beach Resort, Miss Lancaster Hotels and Miss Zen Institute.


Angeli Dione Gomez who got the Mutya ng Tourism 2013 from Cebu City will represent the country to the Miss Tourism International pageant in Malaysia.


Contestant Asdis Karlsdottir from the Filipino community of Iceland was proclaimed Mutya ng Pilipinas-Overseas Communities while Arizona’s Maureen Montagne and Caloocan City’s Kristian Aubrey Nolasco were named first and second runners up, respectively.
