Roll out the blue carpet! Yesterday, the 2015 Teen Choice Awards kicked off on the blue carpet with summer appropriate looks and fall-ready trends. Here are the fashion trends to add to your fall shopping list: netting, unexpected pantsuits, floral frocks, sophisticated shorts, black & whites and subdued menswear. I love the sophisticated sex appeal of netting used in these dresses– it’s sexy but not overly revealing, and the fringe was a perfect addition for the youthful event. If you’re going for a pantsuit look this fall, go for an unexpected pairing of shirts– cue the crop-top or asymmetrical shirt. It really made me happy to see the younger celebrities wearing age appropriate a-line dresses. These looks were on trend with their vibrant floral prints and looked super cute. Black & whites are a go-to look, so why not play up the trend with a print or touch of added volume. For menswear, the blue and grey suits were styled well and effortless on the blue carpet. A few added trends to note from last night are the strappy sandals, white and nude nails, casual up-dos and pointed toe pumps. Nothing on the blue carpet was unexpected or a complete flop– but my best dressed list includes Victoria Justice, Sarah Hyland and Lacy Hale.
Who’s on your best and worst dressed list last night?

Unexpected Pantsuit: Chelsea Kane, Peyton List
Floral Frocks: Yara Shahidi, Maddie Ziegler
